There is no need for a full engine replacement if it is a failed lifter/camshaft.
I just had a failed lifter along with casting failure on the camshaft on my 2019 Ram 1500, 60,000 miles, did everything for about $3,000, thats including a MDS delete kit, upgraded oil pump, and getting my computer...
Hey everyone it ended up being a failed lifter most likely caused by the casting failure on the cam shaft.
Around $3,000 was spent to fix and also try to mitigate it from happening again
- New higher pressure and volume oil pump
- MDS delete kit
- Having the PCM unlocked and flashed by...
after listening with a stethoscope sounds like its coming from the bell housing, gonna pull the starter and take a look, but its probably a damaged flex plate or fly wheel

Yeah it's hot, that video is yesterday after a 30 mile drive from work.
Gonna hit it with a stethoscope to try and rule out anything on the lower end of the motor but im leaning towards a lifter...hopefully its not a rod knocking or piston slap
I can do a more thorough check when i get home from work but the issue is it is louder under the truck and by either tire but when you stand infront of the truck it isnt near as noticeable,
