    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

68408875AF is the part you want for the 5.7 hemi. The 68408876AF is for the 3.6 V6

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

As a requested here's a picture of what my dealer gave me when the recalibration was done. The blacked out spot is where your VIN should be. I'm not sure what the "Auto Relock" part is, I haven't been able to get an answer from my dealer about that. It doesn't seemed to have changed any lock...

100% false as said above. 5'7" beds have them factory 33 gallon. I wouldn't trust who you are talking to. Sounds like they don't know much.

Dealer DTE update success! Steps your dealer must do to get the DTE to work: 1. Your dealers MUST involve Ram Corporate (FCA/Stellantis). Ram Corporate MUST remove the old tank value 23/26 gallon and add the new 33 gallon tank to your specific VIN. This is called your Vehicle Configuration...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

I have an appointment with my dealer this Friday. He's calling it a recalibration not a flash, I guess that's the technical term. Ram corporate did their part and gave permission for the dealer to add the 33 gallon tank to my vehicle. I believe they had to add it to my specific VIN. I'll keep...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

That sounds like a fuel filler neck. They had an older style especially in the 19s, that was redesigned. I've read quite a few 19s that have had your issue, with having the pump click off a lot. They should be starting with the fuel filler neck imo, make sure it's the newer style. I wouldn't...

Dealer update: I was working out of town all week, however my dealer finally got ahold of me with some updated info on the DTE flash. Ram supposedly has to add the ability for this flash to my VIN. Once that is done, the dealer at that point will be able to update and flash it. Without Ram...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Here's some extra info on the 33 gallon skid plate if you need it or want it. I have a Rebel, so I decided to get the longer skid plate. Overall I'm into this $1360. It's a bit more expensive swap for my truck, because I have the skid plate (Rebel) and went from a 23 gallon tank. I still need to...

    AlfaOBD

Okay, thanks for explaining it! Sounds like I'll need Alpha OBD to switch my DTE from 23 gallons to 33 gallons for my fuel tank and either Tazer or Auto stop/start eliminator for the stop/start part of it.

    AlfaOBD

Does anyone know if Alpha OBD can remember the auto stop/start position, and default to what you left it at last? I know the Tazer DT and Auto stop/start eliminator can do it, just curious if Alpha OBD can do it as well.

Yeah I get that. Just trying to do it threw the dealer to avoid any warranty voiding. The only downfall of Alpha OBD seems to be if you ever have a dealer re-flash anything, you'll have to add everything again.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Latest update with my dealer and the 33 gallon tank capacity re-flash. So they want to take my truck in a couple weeks when my skid plate support bracket comes in and dive into the ECU/BCM more to see if they can change the capacity from 23 gallons to 33 gallons and get it correct. Correct me...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Okay and to be clear you went from a 23 gallon tank to a 33 gallon tank correct?

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Has anyone done the 23 gallon to 33 gallon upgrade using Alpha OBD? I've seen a few people do the 26 gallon to 33 gallon upgrade. I know the capacity size would have to be changed to 125 liters. However, another member said the fuel sensor might have to be changed too with the 23 gallon ones...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Yeah my dealership said the same. Made it sound like it was easy, they were more worried about getting all the right parts. Which I did all the research on, thanks to this forum. What frustrates me most is that after I asked them to verify that the tank read to full and DTE read somewhere around...
