I haven’t had this issue for a while; it happened one other time after my post from last summer. That said I did just get my truck back after having the shifter knob fail. While the dealership had it I asked them to do all open recalls and update every computer, module, or any other dodad they...
Thanks Maverik; I did try using my meter to figure out the other 3 wires but never found anything that came on with ignition/run. Would up getting a voltage sense relay from EgisMobile and it's worked perfectly. Turns on when voltage goes above 13.0v (so alternator working) and then has a...
I had a weboost installed in my truck a couple of months ago and it's worked relatively well. Place that installed it did a great job and I've been very happy with the overall experience. However, went out of town for a few days, truck parked at the airport, and came home to a dead battery...
If you haven’t replaced the 12v battery I’d try that. These modern vehicles seem to be particularly sensitive to batteries that maybe aren’t quite bad, but also aren’t really good as new either.
Based on the latest messages on that thread it sounds like more of the same where they promise one thing and don't deliver... I still registered on that forum and sent them a DM though.
I have yet to see this pop up on my truck. Is there a setting I'm missing? I think I drive enough I'd have noticed it at some point if I was getting remote updates... picked up the truck 3/28 and have nearly 16k on it now.
Perhaps the lack of reliability is why they haven’t rolled it out to everyone yet. If it’s not reliable then I’d be carrying my fob everywhere too. That said I still wish they’d roll it out as there are times when I don’t have my key in my pocket and want to grab something out of my locked...
Last time I talked to someone on the phone about this they told me an active subscription absolutely would be required to setup the phone as a key service, but once setup the subscription would not be required to use the phone as a key. They also insinuated that once this feature was rolled out...
I don’t know that I really believe they’ll never roll it out, but I’m starting to doubt they’ll roll it out before I’m in the market for a new truck again. But I’m one of those guys that drive a lot of miles.
Seems like completing the features you're still bragging about for the trucks you already sold in the model year that's coming to a close would be a priority... but alas the evidence suggests otherwise.
I didn't program the key card; my truck came with the card. Supposedly it has something to do with how the phone as a key feature is setup/configured... I'm still hoping one day they'll delver that feature (that lots of us paid for).
