Ahh ok. I used the adhesive promoter and also cut the strips smaller to fit on tailgate. So instead of a few regular size ones I have a bunch of smaller ones across the whole gate.

Mine was missing a j hook as well and I just installed without it. It’s held up fine so far, but I also have a tonneau cover. What’s the j-hook even for?

Nice! I installed one in my truck a couple weeks back. It really helps keep the dust out of the bed from all the gravel roads I drive on.

Not as much as you’d think. The majority of truck buyers are of the mindset that “real trucks” have a V8 and lots of HP - they don’t shop on fuel economy.

I’ll agree that there’s not a huge difference between the fuel economy of the V6 and V8 at the speeds I operate at. I have noticed that when I drive between 55-65 on a 2 lane highway my instant economy does read 24 or better but the interstate speed limits are 70 and most people realistically...

When I first got my truck and we had an October heat wave my mileage was 21 with 80% highway driving. Now with it being in the 20’s my mileage is 18-19. I also need to factor in the crappy Iowa ethanol gas taking off 10% of my possible mpg vs straight 87.

Mine didn’t come with them either so I bought them from the dealer and had them installed. I live in a gravel road in Iowa so they’re a must IMO. Still plan to wash the undercarriage every week or so in the winter.

My 8.4 non-nav got an update last week. Fixed a bunch of problems for me. There must be 3 different versions out there for the 2 different 8.4’s and then the 12.

There is a software update available. My dealer applied it yesterday and so far the problem hasn’t come back. The update isn’t listed on the UConnect website but your dealer can see it when they check your VIN.
