Sorry for hijacking the original thread, but will jscan work to program a key for my 2024 Promaster based RV ?. It only came with one fob, and the dealer wants in excess of $700 to supply and program another key.....
Wow, wish I had read this thread first.....ordered a windshield shade on 23 July....rapid ship.....when my order was still "pending" on Aug 1st, I requested assistance on their website. Bot told me it would take 5 days to locate the order, and find out where it was. I thought that was a...
Interesting.....no abnormal noises this morning, on a cold start. I am guessing it was a stuck lifter, after sitting for a week. I have a similar problem with my M112 MB engine when it sits, it takes a few minutes for the lifters to quiet. Wouldn't have expected it at 5000 miles however, does...
At 5000 miles ? My previous truck did not start "ticking" until about 38000, and it would stop after a minute or so, which was a cracked manifold. This one sounds different, and doesn't stop until the motor is fully up to temp. I'll be much happier if it is the manifolds, or a broken exhaust...
Just checked, no noise when fully hot, so I'll check it again from cold tomorrow. Maybe a lifter was slow to pump up, as it hadn't been driven for a week. 1000 or so miles since dealer oil change......🤔
Hmmmm just noticed a tick on cold start, this morning on my 24 with 5000 mls. It's not manifold issues, as I had that on my 19, and it went away after a few minutes.
Guess it's a trip to the dealer...... what on earth is going on with Ram?. I have had hemi's since 2009, and never had an issue...
just a suggestion, but if it's not a warranty repair, Dorman make a filter/cooler that is aluminum, instead of plastic, and so it is much more durable. It's considered an upgrade in the Jeep Pentastar world, as far as I know.........
In a start/stop event, the small battery powers the electronics etc, and allows the main battery to concentrate on cranking. They have had the system since 2018 on JL Wranglers
It's for the ESS system.................if you want to read how problematic the dissimilar sized batteries are, visit the JL Wrangler forum. they have been using that system since 2018 on the JL's............. a lot of people have had issues with the small battery dying and draining the main...
You may get more responses from the Gen 4 forums, as the classic is a Gen 4, most people on here have Gen 5.......... sorry I can't answer your question..........
K, I get it is just trimming a plug, but the options of Trim my factory male connector, or basically butcher the female connector on the harness, is not something I am prepared to do. Like I say, it's a shame, because I really like their other products, and love the Tazer in my Jeep. Now if it...
Yes I read them, and saw that, but you also have to do the same to the factory connector, OR totally cut the top off the female connector on the device, which means it would probably be unsellable if I sold the Ram.......... either way not totally comfortable. They make one for smaller screens...
Hmmm looks like a great item, and disabling the MDS would be tremendous ,but, unfortunately after reading the installation instructions, it seems you need to modify some harness connectors for use on years 2022+ , which I don't think I would be prepared to do. Shame cos I really like the Tazer...
