I know where you're coming from. Never had a truck before and really no need to haul anything ... ever. My wife would never drive anything else than her beloved hot hatches and I preferred the combo sports-car (911) and sports-sedan (M3). I got into a 2019 RAM 1500 because I was tired of the M3...
Let's agree to disagree and call it a day. I honestly don't even now why I'm arguing here. This is a pickup truck - I couldn't care less.
If you ever want to discuss sports cars, hit me up and we can go on for days. A fair warning though - as a dual citizen I like me freedom American and my...
Well ... my powerboost is a hybrid twin turbo. But you're right a supercharger is equally good and efficient. BMW M, Mercedes AMG, Audi RS, Porsche etc etc etc etc must all be morons for using turbos. But why are you so obsessed with the TRX anyway? Go ahead and buy one then. Don't discuss ****...
My bad ... I should've said "all but" ... and be more specific about "leaving in the dust". I didn't mean performance only. As I've said before I'm no hillbilly who needs to race other cars or trucks on the highway. Let's call it 'modern technology' ... that's where most of the Ford engines are...
No ... the 'little' powerboost is no match for the TRX. If I want to leave the TRX in the dust - I'd take my 911 (also twin-turbo) which is faster in the straight and obliterates it in the turns.
And no need to lecture me on gas mileage - I had a '19 HEMI ... ~16mpg vs ~22 now - and the...
I switched from a '19 RAM to a '21 F150. Not because I didn't like the RAM (loved it actually and had a 21 on order) but because the dealerships as well as RAM cooperate are unbearable. Worst experience EVER! They're both great trucks with slight advantages in certain areas for one or the other...
A LOT. My trucks are leases ... Ford gave me $2000 more for my trade and while the MSRP of the F150 was slightly higher - the lease payment is ~$100 less. And this was their offer - I did not renegotiate. For the RAM I had to contact 5 dealerships to get only one quote that wasn't completely...
Here you go ... my old RAM and my new F150:
In the areas:
Ride quality
Quality
Transmission
I think the RAM 1500 has a very slight advantage over the F150. It's not much - but it's there.
When I comes down to interior storage space and rear seat room the RAM blows the F150 out of the...
I ordered 12/23 and was told 8 weeks at the most, more like 4 weeks. Got a delivery date of 01/31 from RAM without even being D1. Was told by the dealer March build - March delivery not guaranteed. What finally made me cancel was that RAM chat told me the truck started production 02/24 with a...
The estimated ship date in my case is the day after the build date. Which is a complete joke. Depending on what you ordered the truck has to go to the "Body Vendor" (=Mopar Custom Shop). And although the average time IN the shop is only 1 hour - the wait time to actually get in it might be...
