The problem is not actually with the A/C. I made that mistake, and the dealer techs immediately went looking for something wrong with the compressor, evap coil, condenser, or refrig. charge. The "problem" is that the HEATER will not shut completely off. So, the temperature at the driver's...
On a 81°F day I was only getting 64°F out of the driver's center vent (DCV). Basically same as what I get on a 93°F day. I think that just means the cabin is insulated well, not that the system is unstressed. I suspect your 44°F will be consistent right on through the summer. To be clear, my...
Does anyone know how to shut the blend door manually, or add a gasket to the "door jamb" so that the door can seal off a little better? Last that I want to do is dumpster dive into my HD RAM's engine compartment every time I do not want maximum A/C!
@Jhill, thanks, but I there are several pitfalls with that approach. I posted related info in another thread:

Besides, the plastic vent louvers that the IR reads will always be a little warmer than the vent air...
The heater core does not heat the evaporator coil (which is where the "cold" is). The misaligned blend door(s) allows air to feed to both the evaporator and the heater core, which is why the final blended air that blows from the vent is so much warmer than what comes off the evap coil.
I...
@greg, that is my last resort. I hope they are just chasing a really nasty engineering problem, and it is getting the best of them. It wouldn't be the first time a problem did that.
Not so fast. My new 2019 2500 build date was 4/19/2019. Took it into the dealer with 63°F on the driver's center vent, and 55°F on the passenger vent on an 81°F day. The service rep hadn't heard of this problem yet, but that can't be possible. After confirming good high/low refrig pressures...
Is there anyway to disconnect the ANC on a 2019 2500 Tradesman? It gives me a headache, ANC gives me a headache on United flights, too. I have to use earbuds.
Agreed. Well, if I had a phone charger up there with the phone, it would be OK, but I don't plan on it.
I have a whole host of 12V gadgets I want to plug in: 2 ventilated seat covers, LED lighting, ham radio charger, rear DVD entertainment for the kids...They are all low draw, and had plenty...
