I've pretty much all but given up on hoping to see this update come across OTA. Maybe I'll ask my dealer when I take the truck in for an open recall I have.
I've probably done 2 surveys from Ram where I gave honest feedback. Never was I contacted nor do they probably care. It's quite a show...
I see someone in MD got the most recent update. What region is PA in then? Haven't seen this one come across yet.
I looked to see if the IAT was on my G/T and looks like that's gone for me as well if it was ever there. I can't recall if I ever saw it or not lol.
Here's a question. Why is it that we seem to know there is an update, but when you navigate to Uconnect's website and check for one, it tells you there isn't one available based on the VIN.
I can totally see why a file is never able to be downloaded. Someone will probably end up bricking a...
Agree 100%. I know that I'm not on the most recent version and now I know there's an update, but no clue when it will show up. I know for me it starts to make me wonder if theres an issue with my vehicle receiving updates.
Yes, as does mine when you have the phone connected and you're on the android auto screen.
What should be an option is to pull that Google Maps screen that is not movable to the Home page as a widget so that you can set it wherever you like. That is a current option with Apple Car play.
True but if we sit by without saying anything, nothing will most likely be done. Ram wants feedback good or bad, right?
To the other post I you were asking about, I was saying that I would like to see my android auto like I can see the built in nav in this picture. You can currently do this...
Pretty sure we "want" the features that are comparable to Apple Car Play.
Problem is that we really don't know who is really the right group to send that request to. The thread kind of drifted, but there are 2 main points.
Full Screen Android auto
This is in development and pending release...
Correct. The icon shows, but you can't add an Android Auto widget to the Home Display area. So if you wanted google maps showing in the Home Display, it's not possible.
LOL that's kind of how I took it. Ultimately not a decision Ramcares can make. I'm sure it went to a feature request somewhere.
What's funny is that Apple Car Play has 2 features over Android Auto:
1. The ability to put Apple Car Play on the main Home Page in a tile
2. The ability to go full...
Nope and that picture from the 2023 can't either. There's no option to remove the bottom widget to get a full screen.
It would be nice to know if it's going to be in the works or who is the limiting factor though. @RamCares any feedback on that?
@RamCares Curious why the VIN and PM would solve anything on this request. Seems like all of us using Android Auto would like to have a full screen experience like our Apple Carplay friends. Standing questions are really:
1. Will we ever get this option especially the pending release of...
Was able to install the update last night. Running stable so far. Overall it seems more polished. I think the outlines on the widget boxes leave something to be desired and they're not expanded to the full real estate of the screen. Still can't add Android auto to the homes screen which is a...
