Dear Diary - My Ram Tuning Experience in the North-East

This is Tune Time Performance in Lakewood New Jersey. Matt Hauffe is the owner and center of the operation, James is one of the ‘mad-scientist’ tuners and Lenny is the guy behind the counter that talks paranoid customers out of meltdowns. They’re a soup-to-nuts speed shop and it is the most...

Dear Diary - My Ram Tuning Experience in the North-East

Through the years I’ve gained enough experience in the muscle car scene to know that I’ve encountered a uniquely talented, highly sought-after speed shop when I saw see these things in the parking lot:

Dear Diary - My Ram Tuning Experience in the North-East

If you’re like me and your vehicle is your baby you want the best for it. You spend hours each month washing and detailing it; you are always ahead of the maintenance schedule and you lavish it with accessories and spoils wherever you can. You look forward to getting in it for a late day...

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

It was dyno tuned at ProCharger on a Mustang Dyno. The stock baseline numbers were high 200's and the final was mid 400's. If I remember correctly, the dynojet numbers are 10% higher on average. I'll try to get exact numbers or I'll get a print-out if it gets re-dyno'ed on a correction tune...

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

This is with air ride setting to "off-road". Normal mode looks best and entry/exit mode still allows my 70+ year old friends and family get in and out without too much complaining. Mechanically the truck is phenomenal and pulls like a freight train but the tune is not right yet and there are...

I posed every pic I got from the vendor. As soon as I pick it up I will post more.

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

Here are three pictures to show tire / body position for those considering aftermarket tires/wheels. This is a 2021 Ram Rebel with BDS beta 4" Air Ride Suspension, Mopar beadlock capable wheels, Part # 82215259AB and Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.5R18 tires. Stock fenders and the tires tuck in...

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

LMAO!! Thank you, the interest and support is much appreciated. I don't have the truck back yet. A marketing executive of Sport Truck USA sent me that pic yesterday and I immediately posted it on here. With COVID and supply chains being in upheaval all over the country, the project is...

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

You guys were right. Thank you for the accurate info sharing. It makes a difference. BDS techs were kind enough to put some 17" wheels up on the truck and closely compare for clearance or near-clearance with caliper shaving (grinding down of outer casting of brake calipers). They concluded...

I also wanted to go with 37s but BDS advised 35s. OK but...how come? What's wrong with my calculator? Our stock tires are 33 and with a 4" lift kit; even with air ride up and down.... 37 should clear even at lowest setting, no?

Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?

Hi DevilDodge, Actually I just posted the information like a careless idiot but thank you for the kind 'typo' description. That's appreciated. When I got approved for the BDS 2021 Rebel Air Ride 4" Beta Lift Kit project, I spoke with one of their engineers; kind of like pre-project...

    Nitto Tire Vendor?

What about shaving the calipers? Has anyone considered it or looked into it? We used to do that with Cobras to fit 15" Weld rim.
