I've had my '19 Laramie in three or four times for the squealing. They finally replaced the whole front brake setup, but it just came back. Two years in and 65,000 miles later, my brakes still squeal like a stuck pig. But I otherwise love the truck enough that I've just learned to deal with it...
Just a follow-up: my truck has the front brake squeal under light-medium braking from around 45mph up. 1st dealer replaced the front pads only at about 10k miles, but the squeal remained. They wouldn't do anything else with it, so I took it to a second dealer. The tech at the 2nd dealer couldn't...
Here's my Blue Streak Laramie Sport that has been de-badged. I also just did a muffler swap with a Spintech 9000. Plan on getting the Corsa catback when it comes out, lowering the rear 2" to level it out, and probably putting some 22/24 inch wheels on it.
Had a mechanic friend that called me the other day needing me to do some quick legal work for him. We started talking about my new Ram and I told him I'm wanting to do a simple muffler swap while I wait for Corsa to release their catback system for the 2019s. He then informed me that he had a...
I’m pretty sure it’s the front. If I said rear then I mis-typed it. And they should be bedded by now, as I’ve put probably 600 miles on it since they replaced the pads. I called this afternoon and they said the tech was going to do some more research on it and they would get back with me next...
So I took my truck in last week for them to replace front pads per the star case. However, the squeal is still there, just as bad as before. Without going into the details, I had a suspicion they didn't actually do anything to the truck. But I looked at the pads myself and they do appear to be...
303 Tire Balm is the best thing I've found, for me. I don't like the super high shine, and I can't stand the sling-off that I've always got from spray-on tire shines. The 303 brand tire balm is more of a lotion consistency that you wipe on with an applicator pad. One quick coat gives the tire a...
I just had my first service done today, and it had 9,980 miles on it and 2% left. I tried to take it in at 5,000 miles and the service rep said to go by the oil life indicator, so long as it didn't exceed 10,000 miles (she referred me to the owner's manual, which basically says the same thing)...
