If all accessories are run off 12v then the 12v system is what you'll want to maintain. The 48v being Lithium would need a balanced charger that would expensive and dangerous if done incorrectly. I would guess the 48v system has a built in low voltage cut off like most lithium systems. Prevents...- les13
