Thanks H2OMAN & HSKR R/T for feedback, what you say is in align with what LB4 and Diablo have indicated in their email response to me which I posted in another thread. I cruise the highway around 65 mph @ 1500 rpm and most aftermarket additions impact HP at higher rpm but don't do much for MPG...
My only purpose to buying something like this is to improve on the MPG. I would like to see factual data showing the increase in MPG if there is any out there, has anybody seen any? I am a retire engineer and believe in the data if it was obtained by folks without any agenda. I am not an...
When I had my 2016 Tacoma with V6 engine and towing my 5100 lb. travel trailer going down I5 south of Portland, Oregon. My engine would constantly shift down to get back to speed then shift up once I reached my set speed while on cruise control. This would constantly repeat itself while on...
Here is the response to my email to the JBL4 folks:
We don't have any dyno data using 89 octane, you need to use 91+ or better with the Jb4 installed & turned on. The JB4 does not alter or change the OEM TCU / transmission mapping, that will stay the same. Generally speaking under normal driving...
Just an FYI, there is another topic regarding this trailer camera that you folks might want to browse through, it has some interesting points and shows pictures of what the display should look like.

I am not a high speed junkie but retired and like to get better mileage on highway that is greater than my 17 mpg. When I tow a 5,000lb travel trailer I usually get 8-9 mpg going around 60-65 mph on highway with cruise control on.
Has anybody installed an engine tune package that has increased...
When I hear dealers use that old standby BS about voiding warranties it just frustrates the hell out of me since they are speaking out of their butts. Anybody being told that BS should tell the dealer they need to look up " The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act". Quote from the Act " Commission staff...
Ahhh I can remember the days when cars were so much simpler, a screw driver, socket wrench, tach/dwell meter was all that was needed to tune up an engine. Plugs, points, condenser, carb rebuild kit and you were running smooth as a babies butt. When did it all go to hell.... Now they are so...
Black electrical tape doesn't do too well in water, I have seen it unravel due to loss of adhesion. I would suggest cleaning off with alcohol then silicon sealer or Gorilla Sealant then fingers to smooth it out and make sure it is sticking. Who knows how long it will take to get it...
Yep, that is about as good as we can get for now according to Ram accessory tech support. Ram said our trucks were never designed for this feature. You might want to call them to ask for this feature to be fully developed since you bought the tow tech package that shows this as one of its...
Do you have the 12 pin connector in your rear bumper and are there wires connected to it's back side from a wiring harness?
If so then you could just plug everything together in your truck bed to see if it all works, that is what I did to see the end results. I can live with what I have for now...
Update from AlfaOBD today.
Sorry 2025 model is not supported, it is in plans for one of the next updates. You are right it is completely different in terms of electronics.

Your optimism gives me hope but after talking to Stellantis accessory tech support folks they indicate they have not developed the software to fully support these cameras on the 2025 models. I asked them to put it on their task list but no indication from then when it will get done. Support...
First thing about the 2025 model you will discover much like I did that NOT all the mechanics are trained on the new electronics which are completely new for the 2025 models. So most mechanics will approach the issues thinking what they know about the prior models will fix the 2025 issues. You...
