Welcome to the forum. I grew up in Nobletucky and worked in downtown Indy for a dozen years. Live in the DC area now, but about to retire at the end of the year.
If they don't resolve it before the warranty runs out, I'd just go to a nice looking pair of non-OEM running boards. There are a lot of great options out there for under $300 USD. Those things are bound to break eventually anyway.
Shame the dealer hasn't been more helpful.
