I am running into the same issue - I have the soft tri-fold tonneau on my new 2026 Limited with Ram Boxes. It came with the black rails. From my research, I can now see why the silver rails are needed to mount the MX4 (and others). This pic came from an ad for a tonneau and shows the profile...
