Battery replaced at 30k miles after dealership said it was good..

It's a regular 5.7 hemi.. non etorque.. And trust me, I have a lot of knowledge on the mechanical side of things.. but the reason I made this post is because the dealership said the battery was still good when it wasn't.. that's why I took matters into my own hands and had the battery replaced...

If they show up on my post, I'll take it up with them.. but the cost doesn't bother me.. it was between my wife getting a rental car for 2 weeks and I'd have to cover a week of the cost, or spend the money on a battery to see if that was the issue.. and the battery was the cheaper option...

Battery replaced at 30k miles after dealership said it was good..

So my wife went out of town for Thanksgiving, and within 2 days of being at her parents house, she went out to start the truck, and it wouldn't start at all.. With me being a truck driver, I couldn't really do much other than call the closet dealership, and see what they can do because it was...

    Rough idle

My 2020 has 17,000 miles, and it does it when it idles at 500 rpm.. I run 89 octane or higher.. its totally normal.. its done that since it's been brand new.. I'm guessing it's just a Hemi thing..

    What fuel for 5.7

The time I ran 87 octane, my truck was spark knocking up a storm! (Pinging) so I mixed it with 93, and it cleared up within 10 miles of driving it.. so I don't go any lower than 89 anymore..

    Any Issues/Regrets so far?

10,000 miles, and absolutely no problems, and no regrets at all!

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

I get at least 15 mpg around the city on 89.. but, I have a heavy foot!

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

Now that’s the response I wanted! I remember seeing something in the manual about all of this, but I slept since then.. and I definitely seen the post about that one guy saying that the computer was pulling a bunch of timing on 87..

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

It depends on what state you live in also.. regular 87 octane is $1.79 where I live at in Tennessee.. I think non ethanol will probably be the same price of premium, or lower which is $2.43 or lower.. we have a pretty large gas station chain that sells it all there pumps.. so non ethanol is...

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

89 ethanol free will be the next thing I try.. especially if it’s cheaper than running 93 all the time..

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

I think when my wife fueled up of of 1/16 of a tank, it was $54 at $2.40 a gallon.. we have a 26 gallon tank..

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

I told the service manager at my local ram dealer, and he said the same thing.. (I was there getting an oil change)

Switching from 87 to 93 octane made a difference!

I have a 2020 RAM Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi with 10,000 mile on the odometer, I figured I’d start out with that line.. I normally run mid grade fuel (89 octane) but recently, my parents took a trip from East Tennessee, to south Louisiana, and back.. I told them that they can run regular 87...
