I removed the mud guards and bent the mounting hole tang back a little then zip tied the plastic back. I don't hear any rubbing at either lock but did notice some wheel scuffing in front of wheel well when I looked. I may zip tie that also. Shift points feel a little different but nothing...

I did not notice a huge difference. I would say it's probably why the truck feels "more substantial" though. I called Realtruck.com yesterday, and they said the had 8 pairs in the FL warehouse. Ordered the pair and they are supposed to be here 4/16.
