It took me this long (1 month), but Phoenix sent me a flash update. That, indeed, did take care of the problem. I will note that the tone is not the same as the stock unit, but it did work.

I figured I'd start here before contacting Pheonix for the sake of time. I just installed the unit last weekend. Problem is my blind spot detection is not chiming anymore. I checked the settings in the unit and it is set to chime. Anybody else have this issue and have a quick fix?

Here's a question that hasn't been asked yet... Is it possible to swap the top trim out on the bezel? I like the black and grey burl bezel that comes in the Big Horn. Anybody give this a try?

Latest update: As mentioned above, I programmed a key to the old RF hub just to test. It does start remotely only by installing the hood latch, using the old RF hub without antenna, and programming BCM for remote start. I can confirm that you do need to drive the truck... I read in OEM docs...

I have both JScan and AlphaOBD. I could not get Alpha to initialize the new part. It turns out that it was in plant-mode and had to be disabled first - prior to initialization. In JScan that was easier to fix than Alpha. I also was able to do the FULL initialization using JScan over Alpha. it...

Did a key program with Jscan and tested remote start with old hub. No go. Didn't think it work anyway. Just went through attempting doing hub reset / replace using both alphaobd and jscan. Neither works. Have to be able to enter vehicle in Run mode to get code. Can't do it without programming...

Just swapped the old unit back in. No issues. Hmmm. Hood ajar and tailgate ajar indicators work. That's cool.

"Key Fob not detected." Then, "Push Button with Key Fob to Start." The Docs say that the original Fobs should still work; they do not. Anybody hit this issue? Edit: I installed the OEM upgrade kit since I did not have the wired hood latch.
