I had mine replaced months ago now and its smelling like the windings in the MGU are still cooking. its very strange, and doesn't give me a lot of confidence in its longevity. I waited 8 weeks for the replacement to arrive. I really don't want to go through that again if the thing burns up a...
a good test would be to get in the truck without your key fob and see if it will let you start it up. if it does, there's most likely another key fob hidden in there somewhere.
Apparently all the 5.7's sold going forward will include the GT exhaust. I must say, having this setup on mine, compared to my previous HEMI rams its a VAST improvement. I think it really is the best balance between great sound when romping on it, and lack of drone when cruising that you can...
for what its worth..... Long bed regular cab tradesman, but food for thought. It certainly won't become a Prius overnight but maybe if you drive lots of miles..
I have a question for you folks with the ET systems. since they replaced my MGU, the new unit has been smelling a little like hot electronics, to the point I can sometimes smell it through the HVAC vents. I am hopeful that its just because its new, but when I put my hand on it after a 30...
As expected the battery was totally discharged and they had it on a charger while they installed the new MGU and Lithium pack. Once I got it home I put it on a NOCO Genius 5 charger and it took nearly 3 days before it reached a solid green status indicating a full charge. I then ran a "repair"...
Update: I finally have my truck back after 7 weeks. They replaced the MGU and the 48 Volt battery pack. I am glad to have the truck back as I was getting tired of the rental Grand Caravan they had me in. Unfortunately, sitting for 7 weeks in damp and salty Atlantic Canadian late winter took...
I'm happy to hear a couple people have received replacement parts to get them rolling again. it gives me some hope. we do NOT have the same consumer protections up here in Canaderp but I'm hoping a replacement will be on route shortly. They supposedly expedite replacement parts when an in...

Well you can add another poor slob to the list of dead trucks due to the Failed MGU. No charging provided to the 12 volt system, nor the 48 Volt pack. Other than some increased noises during cold start recently, I hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary other than for a period of about two...
I had a similar issue after my area experienced some bad floods and I hit some standing water at speed that I didn't see in the dark. there's a large connector under the truck along the frame rail near the location of the driver seat that is vulnerable to heavy splashing. its possible some of...
Greetings Folks. Has anyone else had a recent OTA Uconnect update break their onboard GPS? I commute 30 minutes to and from work and the on board GPS MAY start working correctly by the time I get there. for most of the drive it shows the TOM TOM screen with the Message "Loading GPS Map..." or...
this may sound stupid but that sounds like the behavior when you hold down the throttle pedal to activate "clear flood" mode. I would check to see if you have a floor mat that is pressing against the throttle pedal. its happened to people before, and its a free and quick thing to rule out.
