Judging by your subject line you have the Multi-Function Tailgate? You might want to view this post and the subsequent posts after that one for a bit of user feedback on the MFT. Longtime member, but still need to post here
The MFT, while a supremely useful option, can be a bit finicky in...

It's funny you should say "I might consider it [MFT] if the RAM 1500 REV has one in a few years."
.
I'm very interested in the upcoming REV (formerly Ramcharger), but I absolutely can't give up the MFT on my 2020. Everything Mikeru82 said, plus I'll add that the Ram MFT makes getting up into...

Welcome, and congratulations on your new Ram HD!
.
As bigdodge mentioned, you might get more out of the HDRams forum, but also as he said, you're always welcome here as well.

Notice in the screenshot below, you can use the pulldown under the tab "Our Other Sites" at any time to switch back...

Good point. That said, I'm thinking the EU overlords probably learned a lesson, and once the $26B EV write-off is past them and Kuniskis & Filosa's recent work begins to bear fruit, once again it'll be CDJR in North America that generates most of the profits.
.
.
I think you're right, there likely would be very little negative pushback on the part of the buying public if Kuniskis puts Ram back in the Dodge fold, it's effectively a matter of semantics. But for FCA/Stellantis, I just don't see any huge positive to make the switch back to Ram being under...

Leave it Ram. It's one of the best things about Ram - its uniqueness in the American auto industry in that it's the only brand that is just trucks. That's a wonderful distinction that anyone who owns a Ram should be proud of.
.
Dodge is Dodge, Ram is Ram, they are both very strong brands. Let...

Very nice! 👍 It's a beautiful truck.
.
How is it received by the locals? Do they like it? Or hate it because it's a big American vehicle?
.
Either way, beautiful rig, enjoy the heck out of it!

If you're on no worse than dirt tracks in the forest, the four-corner air suspension is fine. If you do serious off-roading, i.e. lots of deep ruts, rocks and washboard, you probably should not order Ram's air suspension.

It's a great system for towing, and for pavement and relatively decent...
.
I agree, it will fit a decent percentage of most owners' use-cases.
.
I do, however HATE that Ram is calling it an "REEV" for "range-extended EV". The acronym everyone else has used for years, EREV (extended-range EV), makes more sense linguistically and it also rolls off the tongue easier.
...
.
I'm hoping that Ram taking its sweet time to get this EREV truck into dealerships means they will get more of the bugs worked out before the public gets hold of it.
.
If this truck ends up with "do not park inside" warnings and lots of warranty work like the Jeep 4xE and the Pacifica minivan...

You might be right, but I don't care about the portions of the tail lights that wrap into the tailgate. If the structure is the same, which I'm pretty sure it is, and the new electrical architecture is designed for the same sensors & latches as are in the original MFT, I'm thinking there is a...

In the case of Ram Box, which I would also definitely order., I don't think the separate brackets are necessary. I believe the mods inherent to the Ram Box's bed structure obviates the need for the brackets like a regular bed requires with MFT.
