Get N Dirty, don't get too optimistic about FCA opening a Star case on your truck. Mine had a Star case and software update and still........not fixed! Audio still cuts out almost on a daily basis. My dealer told me a few of the STAR engineers are rock stars but most of them are just rocks...
3rd day in a row I have to drive in complete SILENCE. 35 degrees and wet conditions. Seems like it happens frequently in those conditions. Not sure how much more of this I can take. This is complete ********.
1997pgt it sounds like your getting a whole new radio? Please update us as soon...
Scratch my theory on it not happening in the afternoon. It just happened after sitting out in the sun while 22 degrees. It definitely happens more between 20 and 35 degrees so it seems.
More problematic is it's happening more often to me as of late. Where as in December and January it only...
Also, it seems to happen mostly at night or sometimes in the morning, usually in cloudy weather. I can't recall it ever happening in the afternoon when the sun's been shining on it all day.
Could that be a moisture issue with the wiring? Has anyone else been experiencing the same? I would...
Wow This forum blew up in the last day. That's good. If FCA can't figure it out we will!
1997pgt to answer your earlier question about my sister. She didn't even know about the problem (not involved in audio) but suggested we complain to FCA every day until it's fixed. The squeaky...
Thank you Donbaragar. I couldn't agree with your post more.
For the record, my sister is an engineer at FCA and was on the design team for the 2019 Ram. She also thinks it's completely unacceptable how long it's taken to fix this mess.
Just so everyone knows FCA doesn't make the radios...
Well, 1997pgt..... I'm not going to give FCA any credit or "just be patient". They want top dollar for these trucks but don't want to do anything when there's a problem. I could go out and buy a $1,000 beater and still be able to listen to the radio.
It's been happening to me all morning...
Its apparent that this is a widespread issue. There's a Jeep forum discussing 2019 Cherokees with the same UConnect radios experiencing the exact same issues. This has been going on since at least November but I suspect that it became more prevalent when the temps dropped. And, yes, there is...
The dealership has not called me back yet (big surprise). I think they're avoiding me because they have no idea how to fix it. I'm going to try emailing [email protected] and I will keep you posted with their response.
I've notice it happening more frequently today...
I'm new here. Bought my truck in late November. Have the 8.4 with navigation (Alpine). Been getting intermittent audio from all sources sporadically, usually when it's around freezing temps. Also no lines in backup camera when this happens.
Had my truck at the dealer (Huvare) for 5 weeks...
