    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

Thank you for posting this. Are you able to post the link to the YouTube Video? Also, do I need to have a scan tool (I have a basic one)?

    Hurricane Gas mileage

I finally got 20.4 highway with my Rebel which I'm happy with. I got about 11 highway towing my 6000 boat + trailer at 70 MPH.

    Sh*tty transmission calibration?

I either have a light-medium throttle calibration issue or a transmission issue...or both. Not CELs but the shifting in gears 1-3 is haphazard. Under light-medium throttle the engine surges so you really have to just push the pedal thru that zone and it's fine. I've got 16,000+ miles and the...

New 2025 Ram 1500 hurricane engine weird hissing/ air leak noise

Mine does a thing where it seems to cycle the brake pedal fwd/aft adjustment every time you turn the truck off. It's odd but it's done it every time since new.

Exhaust Options for Hurricane 3.0 SST

LOL. If I cared I would have kept my 6.7 Cummins or bought a TRX. The only thing I don't like about the Hurricane thus far is that when starting from a stop the acceleration is jerky...I'm not sure if it's an engine tuning issue or transmission tune issue but it's super annoying. Other than...

    Hurricane Gas mileage

The best I have gotten according to the truck was just under 22 mpg. That's a Rebel though with 3.92s. I've got 14k miles on my 2025.

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

I believe our 2025 trucks have the 3rd iteration of the thermostat which has been fixed. That's the rumor anyway.

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

Yep mine just started doing it at about 7500 miles. Super annoying. Good old Chrysler electronics.

    fuel economy

Best I've seen is 19.7 highway mileage. I'll take it. Far better than my Dad's 1993 Dodge Dakota Sport 2wd 3.9L V-6.

    Oil sensor

I just did my second oil change. I did the first at around 800 miles and the second at just over 5000 miles. Added 7.5 quarts in and the oil level indicator now reads full.

Recently picked up my 2025 Rebel and the mileage is showing about 15 MPG.

Just finished a 2000 miles trip. The best I saw was averaging 72 MPH, and got 19.65 MPG on 87 octane. Four people, our stuff, and about 70lbs of dog.

    Oil sensor

Same. I don't like it...I have both in the Audi but only use the dipstick to see what the oil looks like since I have confirmation from the last 13 years of ownership that the electronic monitoring is spot on.

    Hurricane oil pressure

That's right. How it acts when cold vs how it acts when at full operating temp.

    Hurricane oil pressure

Is anyone thinking of running 5W-30 or 0W-40 in their SO Hurricanes?

    Oil sensor

Yes sir. That's exactly what I did and it still reads 1/4 low.
