I installed a relay under the hood and grabbed my constant hot power from the fuse block. I then ran 16/3 shielded wire to the rear of the truck through the frame. One wire (white) went to the driver side tail light to grab the reverse signal, which thus triggers the relay. The other two wires...
If you have tow mirrors currently, you will need the different door switch panel. Then for the mirrors, whatever functions your truck currently has, those functions SHOULD work plug and play on the new mirrors. This truck we did the swap on did NOT have power folding, which is what we want, but...
I would disagree with it causing a risk of more problems. My truck now rests at a 12.5-12.7v when off and a steady 14.3v when running. I haven't had any sluggish starts or thought of the truck not starting. My truck sat for about 5 days a couple of weeks ago, and when I came back, it fired right...
No complaints. They ride a hair stiffer than stock, which is to be expected. But I would definitely stay away from the pucks. They're cheap for a reason. You'll be back on here in a week, asking why your truck is making a clunking noise after you put the pucks on. Pay a little more for a better...
I do think the aux battery delete and adding the larger H8 group size battery is better for the truck. But also add the start stop eliminator or just remember to turn it off when you get in the truck each time.
Just an update - my truck does throw a CEL if I allow the start/stop to engage. I tried to pull whatever code it's throwing, but my (cheap) reader says no codes. I do an erase all codes and it clears it. Another user on the facebook post about this reported his truck wouldn't start back up after...
Ok - and just to be clear, when we take the truck to the dealer for the proxy alignment, we're asking them to only do a "proxy alignment" and they will know what that means? I know further back in the post, you said make sure they do not reset the truck to factory settings or something similar?
So we’re trying to enable power folding mirrors on a 2026 big horn. We’ve already got all the appropriate parts installed on the truck. I see “power folding mirrors” is an option when in Alfa under the WL Cherokee. Can I simply enable this when connected to the truck and then just have the...
If you already have power folding, you essentially can just swap the actual mirrors and the window control switch panel on the driver door since that is different for tow mirrors vs standard mirrors. All your current functions will still work, provided your new mirrors have the functions.
I did a whole thread on this exact swap on my dads 2026. It's posted on this forum. I laid out everything you need with part numbers. Power folding we have not been successful with getting it enabled yet.
I'm just here for moral support and hoping you guys, who are much smarter than me when it comes to this stuff, figure it out for us common folk. I need to enable power folding mirrors on my dads 2026. Seems like progress is being made though!
