I added two additional rear lights under my tailgate (Soundoff Mpowers) that are dual color red/white. I had to tie the left light to the left tail light wiring and the right to the right tail light to get it all to work properly. I initially tied into the trailer wiring, but kept getting errors...

I also did this on my 2023 Laramie and on my dads 2023 Big Horn. You 100% have to use a relay. You're only using the high beam factory signal wire as the trigger for the relay. But it's very simple to do.
Yep - when I did this for my dad’s truck, our local dealer swore up and down it wasn’t going to work since the truck didn’t come from the factory with it. I just stood my ground and told them to program the key. They were also shocked when the truck fired up with the remote start after lol
