Central FL to Miami and back, 19mpg at 72mph on cruise on return. Trip down was 1.5hrs longer due to accidents so I am sure it shaved a bit off average.
Quick jaunt from Space Coast to Orlando Airport and back. Primarily all highway at 72mph on cruise. Hand calc at 19.43mpg. A shade over 2500 miles on odometer. DVIC stated 21.6mpg. Consistently 2mpg optimistic vs. hand calc.
Believe realistically with a 3.92 rear, city will be 14/15 and highway at 70-75mph will be 18/19, all with hand calc and standard wheels/tires from factory.
Saga continues. truck a bit over 2000miles. The first pic is getting into Tampa. The second pic is just before hand calcualting the fill-up. It was 20.01MPG The offset between the DIC and hc has fallen to roughly 1mpg. The trip was primarily 95%H and 5% city. I used cruise control pegged at 70...
With 1640mi on odometer, I filled up and hand calculated at 15.16mpg, mixed and probably a bit of idle time since I had that steering issue and truck was at dealer for 2 weeks. The dash was showing 17.6, an optimistic 2.44 miles more than actual.
Twice my 8.4 would go mute and did not matter which band, AM/FM/XM. after a bit it would start to play again. By chance it was at dealer twice and they 'could not replicate' issue. Guess I sit tight until it fails completely or there is a bug fix download.
Not gospel on the pic. I am more inquisitive on what RPM people are seeing going 70mph? My 16 with 3.92 did not rev at this level, seems a bit high. Only difference was 16 had 275/60R20 while 19 has 275/55R20, not much difference.
