The District Manager said to replace the oil pump first and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then the engine will be next. Now going on 6 weeks in the shop waiting for decisions and parts. Per the dealer, the cab has to be removed to replace the oil pump or the engine. It seems to me that it is time for losses to be cut and negotiate a buyback. Fiat Chrysler mgmt must have missed that class. Onward and upward.
