Agree with the first statement.
But my truck ate TWO cam lobes with 5k synthetic oil changes and an overall very easy life. New engine at 113k miles. Theres guys that have had failures at 80k. Seems to be luck of the draw.
If it actually improved particulate, 100% they'd put the burden on the customer. They'll eliminate a foam cup holder for the door to save $0.03 per vehicle.. new emissions regs are looking like particulate filters on gas vehicles in 2030. Those cost $100s.
bumping this thread hoping someone has this same noise and has had it diagnosed. My truck makes this EXACT noise.
Chrysler dealership said exhaust (I don't buy it).
Local shop said bottom end (I also don't buy it)
