Wanted to say thanks to the OP for this. Finished the install today (first set of lights had issues - one LED didn't light up, so had to do a second install) and it's great.
Picked up some of the recommendations others made:
* Used the Curt 56584 adapter to split off a 5-pin connector so I...
I believe the capacitors are high-pass filters, and not needed with the Alpine system as a crossover has already been applied at the amp such that problematic low-frequency signals aren't sent to those speakers.
(I have the Alpine system in a 2021 and installed the speakers without the...
Not sure of the current state of things for the OP, but if you ignore the bickering, a few good suggestions have been made here.
OP, look into "diminished value", as discussed. My understanding is its your legal right to be made whole, which doesn't just include your vehicle being repaired, as...
Yeah I can't say I noticed anything from the headliner speaker change (we don't ever use the back seat except for storage/hauling), but I just wanted all the speakers to tonally match.
And yes, removing the covers was a bear. I ended up breaking/stripping a few of the clips, as the metal stayed...
Maybe it's just not reflected on the website, but did you try moparonlineperformance.com? They still show the DTTOWHOOKBLK part/package with both hooks and the bolts. The bezel kit is DTTOWBEZELKIT
I replaced dash and headliners with 3032cfx and all 4 doors with 9632ix.
As I mentioned above, the tweeters in front doors are wasted, but I'd have to move up to component speakers(more $$$) to get a woofer-only solution with Infinity. CDT is more attractive in that regard, as I imagine the...
I don't have the CDTs (used Infinity instead), but the fronts are bass-only via a crossover in the amp. So having tweeters in the front doors won't provide any benefit with the Alpine system, assuming you're using the factory amplifier.
I have the bedrug floor and tailgate mat (not the full wrap-around). It's been great -- comfortable to climb on, keeps most things from sliding, etc. Honestly, at first I thought the full-wrap bedrugs looked weird, but after having the floor and tailgate mat, I wish I'd bought the full setup to...
Definitely report back on your experience with them. I do long highway drives with the coopers (~100 miles round-trip at 75mph) on a weekly basis and have been happy with the noise levels and smoothness. But obviously haven't driven the Continentals.
It's good to know there are several great...
OP I know you already got new tires, but for anyone else with the same question, I put the Coopers on my truck and have been very impressed with them in the rain/wet. No hydroplaning, no slipping in turns, etc.
I bought mine from moparonlineperformance.com back in November, if you're looking for a source to buy these. It was a good price at the time and shipped quickly.
If you don't mind sharing, what is it you went with? I've replaced my Alpine setup with all Infinity Reference series and am pretty happy overall, but wish they were a bit more...subdued. For reference went with Revel in my home.
