I swear I'm not trying to be a pain, but that still doesn't answer my question. Does doing either of what you just suggested let me keep my auto dimming mirrors? Or is that just not possible on a 2020?

I just read through all 24 pages and it still isn't clear. I have a 2020. If I buy a *NEW* BCM (from a 2021+) and get it programmed at the dealer, and then I do the rest of this mod (Mirror, CHMSL, FAKRA) will l be able to retain my auto dimming side mirrors? I can't tell if there are just two...
