Well I have a brand new PacBrake remote filter and oil sitting on my workbench. I am genetically incapable of changing oil, on any vehicle, without making a huge mess. Kinda reluctant to install the remote filter as I know a huge mess is coming.
In the last few weeks, my 2023 with 12” has reported twice that an update failed. I have not noticed any problems with the unit, but I finally disconnected the battery and haven’t seen an error since.
To your legal point, this update was forced on you, and I would not hesitate to take them to...
The 2023 bighorns don’t have the tailgate ajar function. It requires a different harness and passenger side tailgate release. And then of course, a simple programming change. I did it to my 2023 bighorn. As i recall, it was less than $100.
My experience with Jeeps (same company) is that there are many Technical Bulletins that provide "fixes" for problems that are limited in scope and that many Owners don't ever encounter or recognize as a problem. These Bulletins provide a description of the problem and the solution, which may...
Did you actually measure the height of the lights?
Ona flat surface, drive the truck right up against a wall and mark the center of the beam on the wall. Then back up your truck about 15 feet. The center of the beam should now be below the previous mark. If it is, you are probably OK.
From what I have read elsewhere, the Air Lift Coil Bags that fit inside the coil spring do not actually "lift" the truck, they just keep it from sagging. Rather than expanding lengthwise, the air bags expand in diameter. They then squish the air bag out between the coils, and this keeps the...
That is the kit I was looking at. BUT, if you leave the bags at the minimum 5 PSI, do they affect the ride? And if you keep them at something like 10 PSI will it keep the back end up about an inch without affecting the ride?
I have a 2023 BigHorn with a Bilstein Strut (front) level-lift. After about a year, the rear end has gone down about an inch. And I am now doing rare carrying of cargo in the rear. Don't do any off-roading. I am very happy with the ride of the current suspension, BUT, on rare occasion...
I have to agree with the above comment. The PacBrake setup is purpose-built for the Ram Hemi, has MANY happy customers, and is cheaper. I can't image going with anything other than the PacBrake.... which I intend to put on my 2023 Ram Hemi at the next oil change.
Well I am no expert. But over the years, I have been told by several automatic transmission mechanics, that if you just change your fluid every 60K miles, you will probably never have a problem.
Tapping into either or both of your factory bed lights, to power additional led lights should be just fine, and will work just like the factory bed lights.
