Amp research power steps?
Ditto on TLOC's reply. I went with the AMP Research version on my 2020 2500. Installed them myself in an afternoon. No issues over the last 15 months, 22k miles, and a 30+ day road trip dragging a toy hauler from Colorado to Maine and back. the boards work flawlessly.- DCGEM

Overland Rack Suggestions
A roof top tent. So, you want to budget build a rack. I have (and still am) using Unistrut or Superstrut to construct suitable and very stable racks for off road (static) use. My First Mod - Folding Bed Step
My 2020 2500 came with it. We put 22k miles on it in the last year, including a 30 day road trip from Colorado to Maine. All sorts of weather was encountered and the step works, acts, looks, etc. as it did when we got the truck. Yes, it catches a lot of road debris and grime, but that washes off...- DCGEM
