    Trailer Brake Gain

You seem to be in between, where you could do high gain on the LE or low gain on the HE. I have no idea if this is true or not and hope others will chime in, but I heard you don't want the gain to be at the very top of the range. Like set to 9 where the max is 10. That's where I had it last...

    Trailer Brake Gain

Brutal_HO, interesting, I dd not know that a bout the speed. Sounds like locking up the brakes of the trailer is not realistic. In my case I generally test it at a higher speed, 23-30 mph and activating the brake controller up to 100%. I did test at 5mph 1 time, foot off the gas and maxxing...

    Trailer Brake Gain

I'll be following this. I have a 26' Grand design xlS which weighs in about 6k lbs. While towing (colorado mountains) I haven't had any problems but haven't had any emergency situations come up either. However, I suspect the gain on the brake controller is not high enough. I'm using the...

    Did Equalizer (E4) distribute enough?

I have the stock Falken 275/55R20 tires which I think are compliments of the Sport package. I don't plan to swap to a stiffer tire until these wear out. What differences, if any, have you noticed with your new tires? I realize you just swapped them and may need more time to tell...

    Did Equalizer (E4) distribute enough?

I went to 7 washers and the rig felt and handled better though maybe a little stiff. Originally there was 50% of the steer axle weight put back to the steer axle. Loaded up the trailer some and with 7 washers it's closer to 82%. Any thoughts on if that is too much or a good amount? WD Off...

    Did Equalizer (E4) distribute enough?

Another vote for 7 washers and the MKE is a little smaller than my MLE. I'll look at trying that. thx

    Did Equalizer (E4) distribute enough?

Hi Folks, Just picked up our first camper and am looking to make sure the weight distribution set up correctly, by the dealer. Only towed the short trip home (trailer empty) and felt some surge, like the trailer was pushing the truck a bit. Trailer is 26' & 6995lbs GVWR (Imagine xls 22MLE)...

    2019 RAM 1500 hellwig swaybar

I joined the hellwig club today. I'm getting a travel trailer and want to stabilize the back end. So far I like the change using the middle hole, doubt I'll try the others. Haven't towed it yet so can't comment on that aspect yet. My truck has the ORP and wasn't sure I'd see much difference...
