What is your preferred connection to your Unconnect 8.4 for the best stock audio quality?

I have 2500 long playing 331/3 RPM albums that I have been digitizing for 20 years (as I play them). I've learned one thing: digital sound quality varies a huge amount and is highly dependent on digital format, bit rate, and how much compression was used. I still use the MP3 format -- at the...

New emissions recall for the 3rd Gen diesels

This is NOT communism. It's the one state that's had huge air pollution problems making sure that people keep the car or truck operating as they were designed. You seem not to remember that the days of SMOG so bad in the 1970s that people were dropping dead at Covid rates. Driving is not a...

New emissions recall for the 3rd Gen diesels

Were you ordering the Quad Cab or the larger Crew Cab. I could not get the 33 gallon tank with the Quad cab in 2021 and had to get the Crew Cab.

    Impressive Gas Mileage

I've gotten mileage that low when towing a loaded boxy cargo trailer. Not on my current diesel, but with gassers. Lower even, as low as 8 mpg. The things are less aerodynamic than flying a ceeeee-ment block

    Impressive Gas Mileage

When not towing I get 30 to 32 mpg on interstate at 65 mph and between 24 and 29 driving around our mostly rural area. When towing the camper MPG drops to about 13. When towing the boat MPG is about 19-21, depending on speed. All numbers are better than any of my previous tow vehicles: 1985...

TRSC-trailer reverse steering control- Not impressed.

Just to follow up on my earlier post... Remember I've had this truck since February and yet to see the trailer reverse steering work. In August my dealer re-flashed the software, which didn't work. A few weeks later the dealer replaced the hardware module with new software. That didn't work...

Really considering trade in for 2022

Oh well. At least it's not this Alfa Romero https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a23145269/alfa-romeo-giulia-quadrifoglio-reliability-update/

    TSB 18-008-20 throttle lag

Time to bite the bullet and take it to another dealer. Which is probably a major hassle if, like me, you live in rural area...

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

Fuel mileage varies a lot. An awful lot. - The worst: in early March, near freezing temps, towing boxxy travel trailer, fully loaded (with water even), 6500 lb travel trailer against 40 mph headwind west across Texas. I was checking every couple of hours, resetting trip meter. Most of this day...

Really considering trade in for 2022

Oh god. I hope you have a reliable second car, because the only thing less reliable than a Rover is anything with an Alpha Romero nameplate....... Keep your sense of humor... Your neighbors will be placing bets on what color your loner car will be next week.

TRSC-trailer reverse steering control- Not impressed.

The Trailer Reverse Steering Control (TRSC) on my 21 Ram, delivered in February DOES NOT WORK. Never has. I've followed the calibration instructions to the letter, with the dealer tech onboard, both driving around the dealer lot and out on suburban streets. We've tried both the automatic...

    Backup Camera Not Working

There is an open recall out on the backup camera not working, especially on those with reverse trailer steering controller. Check with Ram to see if your vehicle was included.

    3.92 with the Ecodiesel

You are so, so, wrong. The small differences are exactly the point of the 3.9 ratio -- when towing moderate to heavy loads and especially a wind resistant boxy trailer. The small differences in gear ratios are what it's all about. Why do you think FCA offers it? It increases engine speed just a...
