Mine has been at the dealership for a similar problem. They are saying it is a defective EGR. I am driving a loaner and they have been waiting for two weeks so far for a gasket.

Diagnosis shows the EGR is bad.

My neighbor had the same issue. His went dead without warning and they did not have the “improved” pump so they replaced the entire fuel system and just installed the same defective pump again. My truck did not go dead, it just runs at reduced power.

Well, the truck wouldn’t start today. So I found that when they replaced the rear window, they forgot to tighten the positive connection on the battery after replacing the leaking window. The battery is at 51% charge.

My dealer replaced my window and now it is as good as new. No leaks in hard rain. I bought the flowable silicone too. Sure glad I didn't try to use it ! Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
