Yeah, I'd do it myself. I have a friend with a lift in his shop. However, my SA said she spoke with their "warranty person" and he told her that since it's under warranty (CPO 7/100k), the transmission service would have to be done by them. Which I have my doubts about too, but I'm not...
My truck has 64k miles on it so I asked for a quote on transmission service and was told $1020 by my dealer. SA said the filter is part of the pan, so a new pan would have to be ordered and the fluid alone is over $200. Is this a load of crap or are those numbers accurate for that service on...
The F/R weight distribution on my truck is 57/43 based on Cat Scale weight ticket. Having it weighed on scales is probably the only way you'll find out.
Thanks, it does look level when I'm hitched up. I have a ProPride 1400. I have zero rise in the front and about 1/2" squat in the rear. I also have Air Lift helper springs in the back and air them up with 15 psi.
Second that. Sometimes the engine shuts down and I barely notice it. Then other times I swear I got bumped by the car behind me, lol! I haven't figured out if there's a set of conditions met to cause either scenario.
It really comes in handy when towing a travel trailer too. Engine braking when using cruise control is pretty intuitive on its own. It will downshift way on down there to maintain the set speed. I've noticed if you tap the brake pedal going down hill (when not using cruise), it will...
Yeah, sounds like something is staying hot all the time. Something with a big draw too.
My grandmother had a 2008 Avalon that kept going dead about every other week. They finally pinned it down, after months of investigating, to the auto-dimming rear view mirror. It was always on for some...
I have 55k miles on mine and the truck was built in July 2018. Just had to buy a battery this morning. Went to crank the truck after work yesterday and the starter was real slow to crank the engine and I got the "Check Start/Stop System" error message. Got home and it wouldn't crank back up...
I had my rear window replaced under warranty last year (5/4/21). It had the crack in the plastic on the passenger side of the sliding window. Fast forward a year... I noticed the new window started to leak on the same side (no crack this time), with water running down the passenger side window...
I have a Magnaflow muffler on mine with the stock resonators. It sounds throatier than stock for sure. I would think that a Borla muffler and resonator delete should give you even more growl.
Here's a cold-start clip of my Magnaflow.
I use mine for commuting 60 miles round trip to work every day and for towing our travel trailer. Towed the TT on 24 camping trips in 2021 for a total of about 8,500 miles. We go a lot, but not very far from home :p
I had my rear window replaced in May 2021. It had the crack on the plastic trim and was leaking on the passenger side fixed window portion. Well, a few weeks ago I noticed water trickling down that same window. I took it to the dealer yesterday and they scheduled to have me bring it to the...
Yes, it was cold when it happened both times. Well, cold for Louisiana at about 35-40 degrees. However, the engine had been running for about 30 minutes when it did it the first time and only about 10 minutes on the second instance. It hasn't happened again since Friday though.
