I don't have this unit in my RAM. First, I just bought it a week ago Saturday and it has the UC5 12 so not sure I would replace it at this point. But I did read this thread out of curiosity.
The point of my reply is this. I had the 12.1 unit from Phoenix Automotive in my Gladiator. Many of...
Not sure this helps but it will only auto release if you have your seatbelt on when you put it in drive. If you have been doing that, maybe there is a problem with it seeing the seatbelt has been buckled?

Honestly I think you have it mostly right. Keep in mind that the Limited and Longhorn are Bi LED. This provides better coverage area in theory.
In my opinion, the Longhorn and Limited lights have the best function and output. I also think the LED running and auxiliary lights are nicer on the...
One thing you did not mention is the headlights. Only the longhorn and limited have the adaptive headlights that turn to match your trajectory as you go through curves and sharp turns. This is also what makes the front design different from the other models. You can get LED headlights on other...
I agree we should have hydrogen based solutions. Water can be converted to hydrogen at the pump and a hydrogen vehicle could be refueled just like gas today.

I think the issue while in motion is that a simple malfunction might cause the fob to lose communication.
My earlier post was about remote starting. In that situation, the vehicle will shut off if you try to do anything without the presence of the fob.

If someone tried to get in and go without the keyfob, it would shutdown the truck. Leaving it running after starting is different.
In other words, the keyfob would still be needed to be able to drive off in the truck.

That sounds great. I have never owned a Nissan but have friends with all kinds of stories about their experiences. Like anything, individual mileage may vary.
I was mostly just adding sarcasm to the snarky post I replied to.

I realize this is only one study, but still interesting to me.

The only way I could tolerate my 2018 EcoDiesel was with a tune that disabled the EGR and fixed the delayed acceleration from a stop. This is known data on the EcoDiesel trucks. If you didnt do a tune you can use something called Pedal Commander just to resolve the acceleration problem.
But I...
I traded my 2018 EcoDiesel for my 2020 Longhorn because of the same concern. I just decided that I was not willing to take continued risk of premature failure. My understanding of the Gen 3 3.0 changes is that they are improvements to components that should increase durability and reliability...
I would say it all sounds good except the short box.
Considering you are towing, the longer bed is better. But it may not matter that much overall.
I would also be sure you get 3.92 gears and 33 gallon tank.
I realize life is full of compromise so it really is up to you to decide what is...
