If I understand the OP correctly this is specifically for the software update feature of UC5 which allows you to connect to a wireless access point to check for and download updates.
I have a 23 RAM 8.4"non-nav with the alpine setup. I replaced the two dash speakers with the typical infinity swap everyone does.
I have a love/hate relationship with this system. In some regards its like there is a hole in the audio spektrum, almost like a misconfigured x-over.

Same issue here. Also connected services no longer work.
For WiFi I've tried an open network, 2.4ghz, 5ghz. I've never been able to get it to connect to a WAP to do online updates.

I think the system has a phasing issue. In some tracks there are parts of the background audio, which seem to be in a specific frequency range, that seem cancelled out and hard to hear. I've heard this phenomenon in my truck (a 2023) and a 2020 Jeep GC with an Alpine system.
