Back home now and it’s working perfectly fine. There is definitely some weird interference with my fob in the south county area of St Louis. I spent a week in Nashville Tennessee and zero issues, so it’s not just a city thing. Weird.
Update: since my original post, I hadn’t had another fob issue until today. I live about an hour away from St Louis, and when I had the first issue I was up in South St Louis dress shopping with my daughter. Now over a month later I’m back in South St Louis for a volleyball tournament and my fob...
I’ve had this issue happen to me twice in the 3 months I’ve owned my new 2025 SST 1500. Both times have been while I’ve been visiting the South County area of St Louis. I’m convinced something in the area is interfering with my fob. Perhaps the high tension power lines. I don’t know? Thankfully...
This happened to me for the first time today. 2025 SST w/ 3300 miles. Would lick or unlock. Only after pressing many many times. Then truck couldn’t not detect the key. While sitting in the truck I just repeatedly pressed unlock and then somehow my truck detected the fob.
I changed the...
I’m not sure this is true or not, I have to do some more research, but I read online that if your fob is not being detected by your truck, you can physically touch the fob to the starter button and it will connect. Seems like it’s not true, but I’m gonna keep digging into that idea.
I drove home from an hour away, stopped and bought new batteries while I kept the truck running. Got home and now the damn thing works just like it should. Now I’m not sure what to do. Guess I’ll keep driving it for a while and see if it happens again. This sucks though. I bought a new truck...
Another update. Fob still not working correctly. Now for the first time my truck says no fob detected in truck. Had to press the unlock rapidly multiple times and then my truck detected it and I was able to start it. I was over an hour from home. Luckily it started. I called my dealer and they...
Wasn’t sure where to put this question so I’m asking it here in “general”.
Two times since I’ve owned my truck (couple months now) I’ve had a situation where my fob doesn’t work properly. I will have to press the lock multiple times to get my truck to lock, and multiple times to get it to...
Yes I’m taking it to the dealer I bought it. They are classifying it as a “we pay” visit since I had the issue during my test drive and it wasn’t corrected to my satisfaction.
Thank you guys so much. I’ve never honestly watched voltage in my vehicles before. I only started watching now because this new truck had a bad battery they replaced when I went to test drive it so I’ve been paranoid about it. What you guys tell me definitely puts my mind at ease. Thank you.
Brand new Ram 1500 with hurricane. 250 miles. I noticed driving today on a road trip of about 1.5 hours that my battery voltage was at about 13.1-13.2 while driving at highway speeds. When I would let off of my accelerator and coast it would go up to 14.3 range. Whenever I step back on...
I bought my ram 1500 on Tuesday and it has been pulling to the right ever since I drove it home. At highway speeds it pulls right fairly harshly to the point I'm concerned it could put me in the ditch if I forgot and took my hands off the wheel. I have an appointment on Tuesday to check the...
