I do the same thing - but my Longhorn has many options I love that the TRX doesn't offer. I tow ALOT so the air suspension is huge for me. I love my split tailgate, I wouldn't want to lose the power side steps. Losing the center console space is annoying. Not sure if TRX has adaptive headlights...
Agreed - the fastest race cars are hybrids. Five years ago the Porsche 919 Hybrid shattered the Nurburgring record by almost a minute. All the top dogs are moving to hybrid now.
While this is a good point - the feature is a win. On our Tesla it was awesome not having to get out keys or carry one around. The opposite can be said of the Wrangler keys, which are pretty much the size of a computer mouse.
I could come up with plenty of examples, but the fact is technology gets better and people hate change. 911 owners lost their mind when they went to a twin-turbo set-up, but the engine is far superior now, and just lacks a bit of the 4.0 flat 6 sound. No one is complaining that their car is...
This thread is funny. A bunch of grumpy old men it seems like. You guys probably felt the same away about fuel injection. "I will never get a car without a carburetor"
Ram sells a ton of trucks, and a strong majority of buyers don't care what it sounds like. Give them more power and better fuel...
Re-confirmed my thoughts from years ago lol. If it somehow got much better MPGs I would be in. I like the quietness of my truck, and performance is saved for other cars.
It's been a few years now and I don't want to read 1200 posts. What is the general consensus on this? Look cool/sound cool/open up some room? Any noticeable gains anywhere?
So far so good but haven't driven much. I was on 34.2 so jumped a few updates. I don't like fixing something that ain't broken however my 12.1 started rebooting pretty often. Did it on back to back trips, and if using CarPlay the SXM buttons on screen didn't really work. So far I haven't seen...
This worked after 2 more tries. Hopefully my rebooting issues go away now.
Side Note: After update I saw it say it was installing Performance and Off-Road Pages. Don't really need them - but would be cool to turn on since they are in the background somewhere.
