I did the Falcon shocks on a 2019 Rebel. I'm still running factory rims and DuraTracs. No issues and still has a good ride. Went with this set up because I run a snow plow in the winter and tow a 22' boat in the summer. No problems with installation either went smooth. Have had them...
I would guess that to be about right. Have not had the chance to tow the boat since the shocks were installed. I didn't get mine installed until fall and at that time I switch from fishing to hunting.
I have not noticed any harsh ride due to the Falcons. I want to say they raised the front end like 1 3/4" and give the truck a level look now. The one time I did drive the truck on the Hwy at 65 mph with the plow on for about 10 miles I did note on the front end it felt like you could feel the...
If you look at my earlier post my vehicle is a 2019 Rebel. I had enough height from the factory to meet the minimum for the plow. I did end up installing Falcon Sport/Tow shocks, was fairly simple. I left the shock on the level setting and not the Heavy one. I only install the plow to move...
When looking at the pictures you posted I noticed a round pipe/bar that it looks like the dealer installed over the blade and painted black. What is the purpose of this? Is it to avoid blade wear or scratching concrete as a normal blade does? Does this create an issue of not removing the snow...
My HTS has been flawless and I have owned it for 3 winters on two different Rams. The current Rebel that it is on I didn't even have to install a leveling kit because there is enough ground clearance from the factory.
Anyone out there know where you can get the honeycomb insert(s) for a 2011 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman. They are the black ones. I have not checked out the dealership because I was hoping to save a little by going after market. I've found the entire grill P/N 68234161AA in white which is the color I...
I installed factory Mopar one also. Stuck the bumpers to the hood also so that they could rub on the deflector and not the paint. No issues yet and has been installed for about 5 months.
I also do not have quite that size of boat but have a 21' Ranger that weighs about 2,400 lbs. When towing with my 4th gen 2011 it squatted it down pretty good so had to go to air shocks. With my 5th gen Rebel with coil springs I don't notice it even making a difference in height with factory...
I hope they release them soon. I would like to get the kit for extra clearance for my snow plow. When mounted and you go through some deep ruts/dips in the road the blade does barely touch with the factory shocks and no lift kit.
I did all the work myself. If you have any mechanical ability its not that hard. The front bumper comes off pretty easy and the electrical is straight forward. Hardest part was wedging in the mount to the correct placement. Typically you would have to remove the tow hooks to make room for...
As requested I have attached a couple of pictures I took this weekend when I got the plow out and ready for the snow to arrive this winter. Everything checked out and is operational. If you have any other questions let me know.
If you go to Western Plows web site they have a quick match page. Put in your vehicle information and which plow you are looking at and it will give you the plow mount kit, the wiring kit and the controller wiring. I'm sure each dealer has different pricing.
I was looking into one similar when I purchased my Western HTS. I am glad I purchased the Western. There are other similar brands that I'm sure will do just as well. I would not purchase a plow without hydraulics for elevation and left/right tilt. There are just too many times I adjust the...
Attached are a couple pictures of the Western plow mount and the electrical tap for the controller. Tried to show how the mount comes through the bottom valence panel and a close up, I think I had to cut about a 4" x 6" slot for the mount. The electrical picture shows the Add-a-fuse circuit...
