My issue seems to have been resolved by the dealer after they cleared all the error last week. They did order a new battery sensor as well which they said was likely causing the voltage spikes and installed that today. Hopefully that is the last of the electrical issues.

I have them on mine and it definitely helps. We had a lot of rain this week and the mudflaps helped with keeping the sides clean.

I am also in Canada and just got my uconnect updated by the dealer and it is now on sw version 18.45.4 and EQ4.1. I am not sure if get the same updates as our amerifriends down south.
