And you also have to worry after you get the recall completed about getting erroneous towing warnings with no trailer hooked up. Kind of wish I had kept original module in place until it failed.
Man, I feel your pain to some extent.
If Ford had a real quad cab set up or if I was open to a Crew…. I might be right there with you. I’m kind of pissed off about my new tow module errors I did not have before the recall replacement. But those suicide doors on the Ford Super Cab’s are a turn...
I voted Sport. I think the limited use of chrome on the Sport provides for some nice contrast / pop. And I prefer 20” wheels vs 22”. I would get the anti-spin axle either stand alone or part of another package myself if you go sport.
Well after reviewing what I would consider my available options….. I guess I’ll just be putting up with an occasional false message, lol. Hopefully the glitches are far and few in between, or go away all together.
Every time I cross shop, I always come to the conclusion Ram is the best option...
You’ll be lucky if a truck of that configuration has 1700lbs of payload available, I would actually expect the door sticker rating lower than that. In the Ram world, that’s a workload for a 2500.
Yeah I’m not going to be driving around some glitchy *** piece of ****. I don’t have the patience to deal with a truck manufacturer who can’t make a functioning brake controller in 2026. Might be time for me to try something else.
As noted earlier, recently had my recall completed. At a brief stop pulling out of the gas station this morning, I noticed a quick pop up in the display that I believe said something along the lines of a trailer blind spot warning? Popped up and went away quick. I had no trailer hooked up, and...
To their credit, they are supposed to be shipping me out an AH module today along with a return label. Although I don’t understand how there are not controls in place to prevent a recalled part from being shipped in the first place. Regardless, I appreciate them making it right without any hassle.
Yeah this is not necessarily true. I ordered what was listed online as the AH revision of the module, I was shipped an AF module that is subject to the recall. This was from a Ram dealer.
I think I could have chamfered the edge is the same area and accomplished the same thing. I didn’t really want to go carving on a new truck… Hopefully I can have them get me the updated part in order at my next oil change.
Nice, maybe I can get mine fixed properly now. I got the infamous, could not duplicate when I asked them to check it….
I cut out a small horseshoe like shape piece from the hook side of some black industrial velcro. Matched it up pretty perfectly to the radius around the temp sensor, and it’s...
I went to 3 dealers to make an appointment to get my repaired. Basically they all said, we are currently able to get 1 unit a week and you can get in line behind all the vehicles on our lot…. So we’ll make you an appointment for 6 months from now.
Or…. The “oil cooler” is Ram being forced to engineer to Woke Idiocy beyond their control.
That said, I’ve watched my digital temp gauges on a few occasions and it does use coolant temps to regulate high oil temp as required. So I mean if it can heat for efficiency and cool for thermal...
