    Oil Leak??

Knock on wood, it has been a once and done issue to this point.

    Creaking noise

Thanks for this. I started hearing an annoying creaking noise that sounded like it was coming from behind the wheel when turning the wheel slowly. Sprayed a little lubricant around the top of this coupler and once it worked it's way down a bit, it has been silent since.

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

My daily commute is short with stoplight to stoplight driving so my MPG numbers aren't typically great, but when I do get out of town onto the country roads it does a lot better. 14-16 City and 16-18 mixed City and rural/highway roughly. Took our first big trip in the truck last week from...

    Rubber floor mats

I think a lot of people in this forum favor the Mopar slush mats. They are a high quality, I would recommend. I was exploring Husky and WeatherTech as well, but found a set of the Mopar ones on ebay from Bam Wholesale that were an open box return (new with tags) for close to half price. Couldn't...

Sadness When Selling an Old Car

25 years and 270K, I'd say you got your moneys worth out of it! Man those things will run forever if the body stays in good shape. Mine had just under 70K on the clock when I sold it. It was great for my hunting and fishing hobbies solo, but as my kids get older and want to tag along it just...

Sadness When Selling an Old Car

As someone who's daily driver has always been a manual transmission, the dial shifter for sure will take me some time to get used to. It's the sudden "oh bleep, I need to back up real quick" that usually gets me turning every other knob on the dash first. At least it's smart enough to put itself...

Sadness When Selling an Old Car

I lurked around here for several months before buying my Ram. Watching and waiting for the right truck at the right price. Part of the plan for me to buy a new truck was to sell my old Jeep XJ and put that money towards my truck. When I bought the truck I activated the plan to sell my Jeep. It's...

    Oil Leak??

Update for any others who may run into similar issues...my leak was coming from the oil pressure sensor. Quick fix by the service department at my local dealer. It's never encouraging to have a brand new vehicle leaking oil, but hopefully just one of those fluky occurrences.

    Oil Leak??

Them: You don’t want to buy a Ram, they have a bad reputation for (insert disparaging comments here). Me: No, the newer ones are really nice and have a pretty good reputation! My Truck: Hold my beer... 3 weeks old and a little over 700 miles and my truck is marking its spot with oil...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Can't speak to the 2021's, but my 2020 has LATCH anchors. They're not like traditional ones that I've seen in other cars, but rather loops that are behind each headrest. You pass the tether through the loop and attach to the loop behind the middle seat.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Pretty good on the rebates. There may be a little meat left on the bone with the dealer discount, but I think the theme in this thread is dealers in the northeast won’t discount as much. They’re probably offering at or close to invoice. How badly do you want this specific truck? Just my opinion...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Didn’t catch this earlier, but I did not have a TrueCar account. I just saw the banner at the top of the page when browsing some Rams. Clicked it, entered my email address and they emailed me a certificate to give the dealer. Unless I’m misremembering, I don’t think I ever had to create an account.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

eTorque isn’t something I was necessarily seeking or avoiding, I just ruled out anything with 23 gallon tank. So far so good. Everything I test drove had eTorque and as someone who generally hates stop/start, I was skeptical at first but this system is buttery smooth and instantaneous...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Thanks. Yeah I don’t envy you on the taxes for sure. Reading your posts I agree that the $1K email offer you got should be on top of their offer. How would they know you had it before you mentioned it? Would dealers maybe have access to see who they were sent to? If not, sounds like they’re...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Finally pulled the trigger today. I inquired about a truck at this dealer on Monday and it sold that same day, but they had a similar one on the lot. They sent me some pricing and it was significantly better than that I'd received from anyone else I'd talked numbers with. However, they...
