Update: got a call from the dealer. They replaced the transfer case. Gonna pick her up next week and see if that resolved it or not. Glad I have the extended warranty.

Update: I went there and took the shop foreman out on a drive. We could replicate this which reversing from an incline. Doesn't happen in 2WD, only in 4WD Auto. He is thinking the clutch inside the t-case could be the culprit. Will know in a day or two.
