Top Glove Box Light Stays On

After the local stealership told me they adjusted my upper glove box, I pulled away a happy camper. After 2 blocks the light comes back on. I finally reached out to a friend with alldata access to find disassembly instructions because the stealership would not provide any. I found that the micro...

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

Yeah, that image showed 75 as we were in South Dakota with 80mph speed limit. But through Minnesota and Wisconsin doing 65-70 got home with 5.4mpg on the clock. Same type of driving with my 14 Ram Sport got me 8mpg with same camper and never had my foot to the floor in the 3 years of towing with...

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

Took the camper to Yellowstone last week and quickly realized that its cheaper to fly from now in with the new truck. I was also losing speed on a 5% grade. 21ft mini lite at about 5k lbs. Seems odd considering the tick is rated to pull 11.5k lbs.

    Delayed running board retracting.

Well, I didnt think it was harmful having the issues of steps not retracting until being out of parking lots and also seems that they sometimes wont deploy if i start the truck while someone opens for instance the passenger side. I figured I'll just pay attention to the motor noise. Well, I was...

    Road noise- interior

I for one will not be removing my bed to replace these vents. I would be surprised if you could do it without bed removal or at minimum scratching paint badly. The only adverse effect, if you would even call it that, to my "fix" would be that now if I go through a car wash with the blower on...

    Adding Factory brake controller?

I should have taken photos, but I was in a hurry. So, I started with the module, it goes to the right of the bottom access area pretty much to the left of your center stack on a support, you'll see the 3 mounting holes. Then I removed the top pad (next to power outlet) and removed the 2 screws...

    Adding Factory brake controller?

I didnt! I also wouldnt recommend following the directions, because they will have you remove kick panel, then radio, install module, then controller. Just do one to completion, then complete the other.

    Road noise- interior

I can't speak to a full sheet of mlv over baffles but that may interfere with air movement depending on placement. But i believe at minimum people should try the baffles to see how they fare alone. Just make sure you dont add too much poly fill.

    Road noise- interior

All interior back together with no adverse effects of cabin pressure either opening or closing doors. I honestly do not feel the sound mat helped as much as the baffling of the vents.

    Road noise- interior

Sound has improved! I can't hear vehicles next to me and passing me on the highway anymore. I feel as though I'm just in tune to any noise now so I'm questioning all sounds. It seems like i can hear the engine noise through the firewall pretty clearly now too. I've also fixed the rear window by...

    Road noise- interior

I was still waiting for my poly fill so decided to remove the ps back door panel and found a plastic door insert which has a resonance to it when knocking on the door. I loosed the back (speaker) side and seperated it as well as removed the speaker(pretty cheap looking) to aid in getting sound...

    Road noise- interior

I'm currently working on the back wall myself because my local stealership couldn't even figure out how to fold down the seat (see earlier posts). So my plan is to hopefully eliminate or at least drastically reduce the noise from the rear wall, (the subwoofer/rear window rattle shall be another...

    Road noise- interior

I went in to have the seal and wannabe sound mat installed and had to show the tech how to even fold down the back seats in which I then had to tell him to kindly not put all of his weight on them like he was as there is a harness which could break. He explained how he did not know how to put...

    Road noise- interior

Fca just emailed me confirming the dealership will be contacting me to install both the seal and sound deadener shortly.

    Road noise- interior

So I've been rather upset with the excessive cabin noise especially at highway speeds and used the information from this post to start my investigation. I've attached a photo of one of the vents which was hard to capture but you can see a faint glare of daylight from outside. I took a video but...
