Just an update on this - everything is still working properly. Truck hasn't discharged since the update. I even plugged that charging pad back in and it works fine. Looks like the problem is fixed.
I guess I should have been clearer. I'm NOT putting in 87 or 89. I would only use what's recommended.
But, the factory obviously designed them with the ability to adapt to lower octane by pulling timing and making other adjustments. What I'm wondering is if the factory might have said, "A lot...
If you put higher octane in a regular engine than is recommended, it's a waste of money. But, most engines that call for higher octane can't run well on lower. However, our H/O pulls timing at lower octanes and you can run it, except with lower power output.
Where I am, we don't have 91 octane...
Took it to dealer. They checked battery and alternator - no problems. They found a TSB for a flash update for the BCM due to battery draining. Performed the update. Let's see if it works.

Well, the good news is that it wasn't the charging pad.

Got it running, then noticed that the door locks (and...
Yep - pulled it out as soon as I saw it was dead. Starting to work again . . . but I can't figure out how it would have drained the battery. First off, the USB should have been off. Secondly, even if it was on, I can't imagine it pulling enough electricity (even if it was charging a phone!) to...
TLDR - Put in a wireless charging pad. Killed battery. Took several tries to get battery back. Now it works (for now). Can a wireless charger plugged into the USB-C charging port under the radio discharge a battery in 30 hours?
It's a 2025 1500 Limited with 15k miles. Everything was fine except...
Holy crap, that's hilarious. Basically, "we made a special tool to bend some metal". But, seems like something I could do at home.
Or warranty - but, if I can fix it in 10 minutes, it saves me a whole day of waiting.
New-to-me 2025 Limited. This rambox is slightly out of alignment, but just on the rear. Other rambox is fine. Any easy way to adjust it to make it flush?
