Turning audio off isn't really a concern for me. I'd rather have the audio, and no reason not to. I like the Fitcamx because it blends in and isn't obvious. Which is good, because then others don't suspect it. I've seen people change their behaviors when they see a dash cam in other vehicles. About the only thing Fitcamx doesn't have is the parking mode . but that's another feature that isn't a big deal for me.I had to look up the FitcamX because I haven't heard of it before. I think it's cool because it looks integrated, but I like the features of the VIOFO A329 and the corresponding hardwire kit better. I set up my dashcam on the passenger side up near the top of the windshield and rearview mirror, to where I almost can't see it when I'm driving. I also bought the VIOFO remote to easily toggle audio recording on and off.
We have one of these in my wife’s car. Works well and much less expensive.I use the Redtiger dashcam, front and rear. Has bump sensor and also the voltage cutoff if the truck sits too long.
