I noticed that when I fold my power mirrors in, they both make pretty good contact with the windows. Is there a limit adjustment to these or is this the design? Seems pretty odd they would contact the window every time.
Are you sure they are hitting the windows? They shouldn't hit them, but get really, really close. Almost looks like they hit. And no, there isn't an adjustment.I noticed that when I fold my power mirrors in, they both make pretty good contact with the windows. Is there a limit adjustment to these or is this the design? Yup mine hits the window as well (a slight thunk sound). I extend them when rolling down the window on my big horn. The edge of the mirror is like a hard rounded plastic, It doesn't do any damage. I assumed all Rams mirrors made contact with the window and in my opinion it protects the mirror against the mirror stop.
Are you sure they hit the glass? Have you tested it as mentioned above, using a piece of paper to side between the mirror and the glass? Just trying to confirm. They are not really close, they hit the windows.
Stupid design but it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
Maybe they missed this when they were spending time on the design of the rear window and 3rd brake light seals?

Proof?They hit the glass.
None of the people I know, or I , have ever had any problems. I only fold in at car washes, but one friend folds his every time he parks.Don’t worry, they will probably break soon and then you won’t have to worry about them hitting the glass. They are without a doubt the $hittiest power folding mirrors that I have seen on any vehicle ever. I had to have both of mine replaced on my 2019. For that reason, I never use them on my new truck.
Mine get folded 90% of the time.None of the people I know, or I , have ever had any problems. I only fold in at car washes, but one friend folds his every time he parks.
I’m glad to hear it. My experience has been different than yours. It’s possible that there have been improvements since 2019, but I doubt it. Therefore, I’ll stick with not using them.None of the people I know, or I , have ever had any problems. I only fold in at car washes, but one friend folds his every time he parks.
