I have a new '19 Ram Limited and noticed at night when turning the left or right corresponding fog lamp comes on depending on what direction you turn. This is pretty cool but don't see it referenced in any manual nor can I figure out how to turn this feature off. This feature is usually seen on many luxury euro cars and my wife's new BMW X5 even has it but most of the time it can be turned off I thought. Anyone have any thoughts, ideas or experience with this?

this safety feature is built in and not user definable. you can however turn on your fog lamps and the light will always be cast if you turn or not.

Yeah i figured that much out but just thought maybe they had a user defined setting that I missed. I wonder if this is standard on all models with fog lights or just on the Limited? Funny fact.. local dealer didn't even know this was a feature that existed.

Mine is a Big Horn and does it. My buddies 3 year old Chevy does it. I think it’s just become a standard with cars??

its any vehicle with fogs lights in FCA's lineup (or any recently designed vehicle I should say) It started with the Jeeps that were really Fiats and spread from there.

This is useless for me as I always have my fog lights on. ;-)

quite the opposite, you use it all the time, turning or not.

i don't leave mine on all the time. fog light use for me is dependent on weather conditions.

the use of fog lamps has become more and more a driving lamp use over the years

I honestly don't see much difference with them on or not because the LED's are so bright. I just like the sporty look it gives the truck.

When the high beams are on, the fogs are turned off but if you take a turn while the high beams are on, the corresponding fog light will turn on.

I always run my fog lights, it fills the gap if you will and has saved me from hitting some animals, mainly deer.
