Vibration at 1500-2000 RPM

If it's in 4-auto only, my guess is it's the front prop shaft (out of balance), which turns when in 4-auto, but not in 2WD.
I have two Ram's and when I first ran them in 4-auto, I did notice some very small differences in vibration (very faint), but the more I ran it that way, it smoothed out to almost not noticeable. In my case, guessing the bearings were breaking in a little. And I am very susceptible to vibration.

Sorry to say it but you aren’t going to find your answer here. The info you provided is minimal and someone would need to drive your truck to understand the vibration. I feel the road in the pedal all the time, I feel the engine, I feel the shifts, I feel the bass. So many vibrations. I’m sure you are feeling something. It’s just impossible for us to diagnose.
Take it to a dealer, test drive a truck with the same engine. See what you feel. See what they say. Can’t hurt.

Go drive the truck, worry less, I know it’s easy to fixate on things when you buy a new vehicle. Put some miles on it, if it’s still there after a few 1000 miles then bring it to the dealer.

Agree with above. Drive it for a while. My 'little' vibration in 4-auto cleared up the more I used it.
Maybe put it in 4wd and hammer the thing?

It is no OCD. I have a 2013 ram that is smooth as silk. I’d have done a lot of research and I even drove 5 other trucks and they all have a slight vibration around 62 mph,some worse than others. My son has a 2019 and his does it slightly. the thing is it comes and goes so hard to pin point. I put a sensor on mine and it is in the drive train. What I have learned is most of the time on all these complaints it is NOT the tires and wheels. I had the dealer road force balance and then took it to an independent tire shop and had it checked again, tires and wheels fine.Once you feel it u can’t unfeel it. My wife can’t feel it. But my sons do. To many complaints about this issue. I believe FCA knows exactly what is causing this and it is a design issue in the drive train. I am attaching the results of the sensor I put on my truck. The first 3 possiblities I eliminated. Not tires and wheels.

I thought about it but I don’t think that is it. I have read several posts where that has already been tried to no avail. I drove 5 other trucks new off the lot and they all do it to some extent, not as bad as mine though. Somebody else probably wouldn’t notice it but once u feel it u will notice. FCA knows what it is but they are not saying. Lot of money for a truck and I expect better.

Yes I have felt that as well but I think that is different from the vibration I am talking about. It feels like it is in the drive train.

I don’t think it is speed related, it is RPM related. It happens around 1500~ 2000 RMP

Mine is speed. Put it neutral and let is coast thru 62mph and i could still feel it.

I'm still blaming out of balance wheels/crappy tires. I had my wheels rebalanced during my last oil change (around 7500miles). The vibration went away for the most part. I just had my oil changed at 15,000 miles and wheels rotated. The vibration is back. Its worse when it's cold in the morning and goes away almost for good.
Once these tires are shot, I'm looking for a different brand or possible new wheels as well.

Note: I have the factory midnight edition 22" Laramie wheels with goodyear eagle touring tires.

I have a similar vibe in mine around 60-65mph. '22 Bighorn with the OEM Falken A/T. I installed the Falkens and road force balanced them myself, I KNOW the tires are spot on. Like others said, once you fixate on it, its hard to ignore. I do believe a big part of it is the road condition. My commute to work is 30 miles and some roads at 60-65 its smooth as glass, others the vibration is present. I also performed an alignment on my truck to confirm everything is spot on. I only started to notice the vibe around 6k miles. Another thing I noticed is the vibe is less present if there is weight in the bed. Curious to see if anyone finds a resolution to this.... mine is just turning up the Alpine system, speaker vibes are better than driveline vibes LOL

Vibration Might not be the right term to describe the feeling. It’s more like high frequency vibration with small amplitude. Imagining you have a vibrating phone under your foot. It’s buzzing and hormonic. Only happens at 1500~2000 RPM when accelerating. It will become more noticeable at 4WD auto or the ambient temperature is low (freezing). If it is unbalanced wheel/tire the vibration shouldn’t RPM/driving mode/ temperature related at all.

I believe we are not talking about the same issue. I can feel the high frequency but low amplitude vibration only at 1500~2000RPM when I am doing slow acceleration. More noticeable at low temperature (freezing) and 4WD auto mode. Just imagining you have a vibrating phone under your foot or in hand.

Seems to be different issues going on here. Whoever has the problem, take it to a dealer and have them diagnose it. Like someone else said, the issue won't be resolved here.

Yup. Just want to see if any other people have the same issue and get it solve already. Try to get some ideas to pinpoint the issue, and talk to the dealer. I believe they will say it’s normal, but definitely it’s not.

Hello guys. I just got my 2022 ram 1500 limited with 3.92 rear end and hemi with etourqe. I only put 80 miles on it. The truck is nice in and out, but the only concern is the slightly vibration from the gas pedal, floor and steering wheel. Ift is more noticable at 4WD auto. It is slightly better if I use 2WD. It feels like putting a vibrating phone under your foot. Is this normal for this truck? Thanks for help. It’s very annoying.

Lee, i had a ford expedition that did this. It took a long time to figure it out but the drive shaft was not balanced properly at the factory. New drive shaft under warranty solved the problem.
