Let's see some interior Garage Pics!

Looking for some ideas/inspiration. Bought my current house a couple years back and other projects have been taking priority. It's time to get the garage squared away. 24'x30' garage that is pretty much a blank canvas.

My house is being built right now. Won't be finished until Aug 2021. First thing I want to do before I trash the garage floor is Rust Oleum Rock solid floor. It's supposed to be much harder than epoxy shield but a little more difficult to apply due to quick set time. I think this is a great starting point.

This looks great! I've really considered going this route. Did you consider epoxy coating prior to buying these? I need to do something in my garage, just not sure if it's better to do epoxy vs these tiles.

I did a 32’ x 30’ detach. Went with the ribbed metal inside for the walls and the ceiling. This is the only pic I have on my phone. It’s a mess but it gives you an idea what it looks like

Mine will not fit in my garage. My neighbor has a 2019 Rebel (as do I) and they have to back theirs in to the garage and then manually roll it backwards until the bumper touches the wall. The garage door just barely misses the front bumper.

The current house has 3” clearance. The house getting built, well, lets just say the RAM is going to get more “fresh air”...
My one request was to have a garage that would fit the RAM easier... I lost out to a bigger kitchen island...

I thought about epoxy. But I really like the way these looked..
when I originally bought them I only had the new rebel and wasn’t really planning on working on it too much. Since then I’ve lifted it and done some other jobs here and there on it. Then I bought a jeep and I’ve been working on that as well as a project.

The tiles are kind of a pain when it comes to working on a vehicle. I have to put wood down when I jack up the truck or jeep underneath the jack. And then I have to put pieces of wood underneath the jackstands to spread out the load.

If I was doing it again, I think I would probably just spend the bucks and have a nice epoxy job done by someone who specializes in it and warranties their work. I’ve seen lots of people mention that their epoxy started to flake and come up because the floor was not prepped properly before hand.

Realistically, I should have just left it bare concrete. Oh well.

I tried it years ago, didn't let the floor dry long enough. I thought 48 hours after washing/scrubbng would do (summer temps) but the concrete retained too much moisture which bubbled the coating in about a week.

I don't work on my truck but I do work on my RZR. Do you think there would be issues with jack stands or jacking a RZR on the tiles? A RZR is significantly lighter than a truck.

Probably would be fine. Just do what I do - go to Home Depot and buy some 1/2” ply. Make 2 18x18 squares and put the jacks on them.

Its not a huge deal really.

I did use this, and you do have to act fast when you are applying it, especially if you are doing it in the middle of summer. Make sure you follow the cleaning and prepping instructions to a T, as any amount of moisture or dust will cause it not to adhere properly.
I have also found that if you drag a jack and jackstands around your garage on a regular basis, you're still probably going to create scratches or nicks. Having said all that it's definitely worth it to me. The garage looks fantastic, and it is much more resistant to fluid spills.

@Finn5033, your American flag is hanging incorrectly. The field of blue is always top left.

My garage is tighter than i want it to be. I need to do the floors, but the rest is ready. It's a standard 3 car that's 20x28. I wish the builders would start doing standard 22x32, but they don't seem interested in my suggestions.

Both Mustangs are now gone and the grey one is replaced by the truck and the red one by my wife's car. Very tight situation having 4 vehicles and two motorcycles in this space.

@scottmoyer you know when I hung that last summer I thought I did it right and I now see that it is wrong. I will change it right away. Thank you for pointing that out. It is the flag my good buddy was flying at his house when he died of brain cancer years ago and I was lucky enough to end up with it. So I definitely want to make sure I hang it correctly
