Gas mileage

Anyone else having gas mileage that is pretty bad? Just asking this seems off

Usually it take a while to go through the top half tank, But the bottom half
goes very quickly. At 17 MPG a 23 Gal tank calculates to 391 miles. My 2008
Hemi would get about 90 miles per quarter tank on the Hwy. Around Town,
I would get about 60 miles per Quarter tank. So, Yours may be a little low
for a newer model that gets better Mileage than my 2008 Big Horn.

The highest I've got is 16 mpg. That's just using the cluster. Mostly city driving with some interstate.

That pic doesn't show the mileage but so far only around town I get 15 and that's much better than I expected. With gas below 1.70 a gallon I'm not complaining (yet) . I dread the day I have to fill up the 33 gallon fuel tank at $4 a gallon.

What Malodave says is true. The gauges seem to be biased towards the top half of the tank.

10 MPG is awful. That should be your towing MPG. Are you racing around at 100 MPH everywhere?

Keep in mind, my truck has just over 2000 miles on it now. Still sorta breaking in. I am 95% city driving currently, 14.5 MPG before winter weather/winter blend fuel. Now at about 13.5.

With no wind, I've seen a bit over 18 MPG (average) on the interstate, and that was doing 80+ MPH (speed limit is 80 on the interstates here).

That seems like pretty poor mileage, I will be picking up my truck next week. With that said I test drove a 2021 Ram 1500 Sport with 5.7L Hemi (non etourqe) and got 12.5l/100km (18.8mpg) on my daily commute (not much stop and go traffic, a little city + freeway). At worst, I expect to get 14l/100km which is 16.8mpg. Hoping once it breaks in to clear 20mpg on the highway at 70 mph

I get between 9-10 MPG in town, but I have a stupid-short commute, so normal for any of my vehicles to get horrendous mileage.

That's pretty good, but I see you drive a 2wd truck. That will make a difference. Also, the average mpg is not calculated on the mileage from zero. It's based on the last few hundred miles. I don't remember the exact figure, but just know that it's not averaging your mpg since day one.

I'm avg 16mpg lifetime, it's sad really. Winter blend must have hit because the current tank is 14.9mpg, which means it's really 14.3mpg on my 95% hwy commute.

By comparison my previous trucks were all in the 17-19mpg range same exact commute.. and my wife's F150 4x4 SuperCrew with towing package (not sure of the number) is getting 20.5mpg on the same commute.. we work in the same area. Her truck isn't even broke in yet.

Not all. I have a 23 gal tank in my Hemi eTorque.
